'''The Democratic Survivalists of Crafters (DSC)''' is a political party on the Crafters.one server advocating for reduced bureaucracy, equal player opportunity, and expanded access to building and infrastructure.

The DSC positions itself as a reform-oriented movement focused on empowering everyday players and removing barriers imposed by legacy systems of governance.

== Platform ==

=== Anti-Bureaucracy Reform ===
The DSC seeks to remove excessive bureaucracy within the current governing system. The party argues that overregulation slows development, discourages new players, and concentrates power among a small group.

Key goals include:
* Simplifying approval processes for builds and projects
* Increasing transparency in decision-making
* Reducing administrative overhead

=== Abolition of Legacy Privilege ===
The DSC supports stripping former royalty and legacy structures of any remaining privileges or authority.

The party believes that:
* No player should retain power based solely on past status
* Governance should reflect current community participation
* Authority must be earned, not inherited

=== Open Build District ===
A central policy of the DSC is the creation of an '''Open Build District'''.

This district would:
* Allow new players to freely claim plots of land
* Eliminate the need for prior approval before building
* Encourage creativity and rapid community expansion
The DSC views this initiative as essential for player retention and server growth.

=== Infrastructure and Railway Reform ===
The DSC advocates for revitalizing and expanding server infrastructure, with a particular focus on railways.

Proposals include:
* Making railway systems practical and efficient for transportation
* Expanding rail networks between major locations
* Encouraging public use through improved design and accessibility

=== Land Rights and Player Ownership ===
The DSC affirms that land ownership is a fundamental right of all players and a cornerstone of a fair and stable server.

The party supports codifying into law that a player’s claimed land cannot be seized, reassigned, or altered without consent. This protection is intended to ensure that players can invest time and creativity into their builds without fear of arbitrary removal.

Exceptions to this policy would apply only in cases of severe inactivity. In such situations, land may be subject to review and potential reassignment to ensure continued server growth and accessibility for active players.

Key principles include:
* Permanent protection of active players’ land claims
* Clear and transparent definitions of inactivity
* Fair warning systems prior to any land reclamation
* Opportunities for players to retain or reclaim ownership upon return
The DSC believes that strong land rights encourage long-term investment, foster community trust, and support sustainable development across the server.
