About
Wintervale is one of the largest towns of crafters. Founded by players Plexiate and Kasprr on July 1, 2021. It's home to some of the most unique builds and shops on the server. Comprised of multiple districts, this town allows for new users to come claim any area and build. To be registered as a member of Wintervale on the discord, you must be living full time within the town.
Wintervale has a zombie spawner located at the portal, just under the tree, and a whopping 6 blocks below the surface! It's got a built in drowned conversion chamber and an on / off switch to reduce lag within the populated area. Players are free to use this. You do not have to be a citizen of Wintervale to use it either, but keep in mind that this isn't the best way to earn XP on the server. See the Earning XP on Crafters page.
An assortment of shops are open within the town as well. You can buy just about everything you need, for example, at PetiteSkinnyGirl and ToughMuscularMan's off the town square in a floating ship, or maybe you would like enchants, in which case you can check out ShimmyMySherbet (accepts iron, gold, and diamonds) enchant shop or Plexiate's (diamonds only) Book Store™.
Mayor History
In the begining, the mayorship was split amongst two players; Kasprr and Plexiate. During 2021 there was an incident involving one of the owners (Kasprr blowing up multiple Wintervale buildings before swiftly exiting the town to never return. This left Plexiate with 100% authority within the town. However, soon after they took a break and passed the mayorship to their towns sheriff, who is currently mayor of Wintervale, TanTic. It has remained this way since the cancelled re-elections on May 2, 2022.
Kasprr's Attack on Wintervale
During the end of 2021 a dispute over land claims arose due to a player named TurkeyySub having settled the unofficial "Turkey Town" right outside Wintervale. Plexiate was in favor of letting them stay but Kasprr wanted to evict the small settlement off the land. After negotiations ended, Kasprr was unhappy with the outcome and chose to take out their rage in a hate-fueled terrorist attack, the likes of which Crafters has never seen before or since. The first target in this attack was the town's trading hall. Killing 30 villagers, including famous villager Kevin Villager, 6 zombies, and causing so much damage the area was unrecognizable. The second target was Town Hall. A newly constructed building but home to the town's valuables. Nobody was in the building at the time of the explosion, but the damage was so severe that it was never rebuilt. An empty plot is in its place. The third and final target was the Tree of Life, located at the center of town and wrapping the town's entrance into the nether. The new tree was built by legowarrior779, as were most of the repairs to city property and buildings. Plexiate fully rebuilt the Trading Hall and used it to open up their future Book Store™ stores, where 1 book is 1 diamond.
