The cake eating leaderboard was an idea replicated twice in Crafters history. Once for a brief period in late 2021 and finally again on June 9th, 2024 as a statistic viewable via the CraftersAPI. The new API allowed the retrieval for player stats, but not just that. It offered access to get the top players of nearly any statistic. GlowChad was the first player to create a leaderboard using this api at https://icu2d.com/crafters/. This was where for the first time since 2021 the first place holder was revealed; ShimmyMySherbet. Later a dedicated cake leaderboard site was created on the crafters website

How did Shimmy get first with no leaderboards to compete for it?
ShimmyMySherbet answered that they never participated in any previous leaderboard and their stat was passively earned. Shimmy mentioned having a running joke regarding filling up people's houses with cake and that was the cause of their high stat. At the time of writing this Shimmy has eaten 373 slices of cake which would equate to 36 million calories consumed.
