Spawn Town was the first town established on Crafters. The town was based off of a village that was generated not too far from the future location of Spawn Castle, where true spawn is. It provided beds to those first few in the world when they were needed. Despite its peaceful appearance, it wasn't always like this. In early 2021, when the server was generated and Spawn Town came to be a refuge for new players trying to survive, there were a select few that wanted to rule over the town as a sort of president. One of these players was Sek; They created a government and attempted to create a seated council below them to further their roots of power. In the end, despite efforts put forth, the government of Spawn Town collapsed and left many on their own. Today Spawn Town is a thriving community, finally seeing the glory days of new shops, mass landscaping for better roads and paths, and a beautiful Event Area where server age goals and events are celebrated by the server population.

History

Early Government

During the first weeks of Spawn Town, a player by the name of Sek attempted to create a government, which was successful for a short period of time. The day one players gathered to hear what was being proposed since it was all new terrain for them. Players were afraid they would be griefed or have their items stolen. Understanding the fears, Sek was quick to organize a courthouse to be constructed with the help of LargeFrii, Squishguin and Derpyderpz1_yt at 255, 63, 34.

Sek started spreading the word of the new way of life for Spawn Town citizens. The change made a portion of the population migrate from town to found their own towns or to be isolated in their buildings. However, a few players chose to stay. Some of the remaining players were eager to get involved, while others that had stayed were not happy with the newly enforced rules. Sek held polls for council member positions that would grant normal players a voice in the matter. Players were to sign a book with the username of players running for a council position.

After the elections, the excitement died down as the newly found responsibility was now being felt by the newly elected players. Meetings on a daily basis would run over 2 hours without much getting done and with simple laws being passed. Eventually, a council member by the name of Plexiate was influenced by ideas from another player. Tales of equality and trust. A system of communism. Initially choosing to bring it up at a meeting, it was shot down, and soon Plexiate was hunted down and placed on trial for treason. Of which exists this video of the ordeal. This also led to the creation of the second town on the server, New Awansville.

The Courthouse Trials

Sek, on the side, was also the judge for all of Spawn Town and would rule in favor of verdicts they found to be the best within player incidents. Assigning restraining orders and, on multiple occasions, jailing players. A few players that stood trial are Plexiate, CHEESEPAPA2 and Ender_Heath.

Border Disputes

EasySpeak Mountain embassy

During the start of the server two areas were founded. Spawn Town and a near by settlement named EasySpeak Mountain. Both areas containing their own residents. The designated border wasn't defined until 2023 where it was said Spawn Town would span 500x500 in all directions from 0, 0. Though; a dispute over the southern border was brought up being that it was already claimed in the name of another town. The stated border of ESMTN was z363.

A meeting was held with residents of the area to poll which town they identified as living in. This input was taken into consideration and on June 22nd, 2023 an agreement was made between the towns of EasySpeak Mountain, with representation from legowarrior779, and Spawn Town, represented by CrafterOne who at the time was acting mayor, over the southern border. Finally expanding Spawn Town to z500, with one home, owned by imGODspeed, becoming an enclave and embassy to ESMTN.

Trivia

• Plexiate was tried for treason in Spawn Town for attempting to found communism within the town. The sentence was banishment, which became void after the government collapsed. Plexiate has no correlation to the collapse of Spawn Town's government.

• There are a mass of scattered tunnels under Spawn Town that span thousands of blocks in different directions. A large portion of these tunnels today are abandoned and have seen no activity in over 2 years, like the USSR tunnels that allowed the meetup of the communist party during Sek's Reign.
