Chess on Crafters.one
During late 2024 a custom resource pack was assembled by Glows with help from the Crafters Cosmetics Team, a group made of players. Creating many new models that those with the pack enabled could now play with or collect. One of the few things added were chess sets. An idea originally introduced by Plexiate, a chess addict. This suggestion was paired alongside building a chess arena or two under 0,0's Noble Bar N' Grill, run by iMxrk, who is also on the Crafters Cosmetics Team.
Plexiate would be the first player to build a chess room, pictured on the right. Soon after two chess boards were completed at the Noble Bar N' Grill. Complete with redstone turn indicators and areas for spectators to watch.
The First Tournament
Hosted on January 9th, 2025, at the Noble Bar N' Grill, the first rated tournament was held. Dubbed the "Winter Tournament", in attending were GlowChad, Elpson, GrimsterGrim and _Funis_. Unfortunately this would have a rather unexciting outcome as only half the players showed up on game day.

There is only one federation currently tracking ratings and holding tournaments on Crafters, this being the figbash chess federation.
